Arts at the Armory
In addition to great performance space, the Armory has a dedicated gallery just off the big hall.
The Alma
The Alma is a 487 sq. ft., two-room creative gathering space for up to 35 people. Perfect for rehearsals, performances, coworking sessions, workshops, meditation, art classes, and more! Its unique split-level setup is ideal for bringing people together while facilitating separate spaces. The street-level bottom room gets bright light during the day and is great for a small concert, comedy show, reading, or pop-up store. The more intimate lounge space up the stairs can be used as an extension space for whatever is going on downstairs, and on its own is a great space for more private meetings and work sessions.

Brickbottom Artists Association
This non-profit gallery exhibits professional artists and community-based projects; many shows are artist-organized and proposals are welcome. The BAA has also begun a new program of exhibiting association member's work at private and public venues in Somerville.
Diesel Cafe/Bloc 11
Located in Davis and Union Square respectively these two cafes have high foot traffic and visibility for any artist showing work. The colorfully painted walls are a great space to show small and large pieces of work.
Cuisine en Locale
Cuisine en Locale, Somerville’s award winning, locavore catering company, is happy to offer two unique event spaces in the historic Anthony’s Function Hall for parties, galas, art openings, and other milestone events
The space, located at 156 Highland Ave, in Somerville, was developed as a wedding hall 50 years ago, and has never closed. It has seen hundreds of parties and events. The interior space includes a large ballroom with a capacity of 300 that can seat up to 150, as well as a casual lounge which comfortably hosts up to 100.
Inside-Out Gallery
Initiated by the Somerville Arts Council in 2009, the Inside-Out Gallery, located in the CVS Window in Davis Square, is a unique space that allows the public to view an eclectic array of works from artists and local organizations each month.
Nave Gallery
The Nave Gallery is a collaboration between ARTSomerville and the Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church. Run and staffed completely by volunteers, the Nave provides an important new exhibition space for both local and regional artists.
Redbones
Known everywhere for its famous ribs Redbones has artwork that is rotated periodically in its downstairs dining room. Now you can get cultured while digging into barbecue.
SCATV
Know for its wonderful community access television and wealth of ethnic broadcasters, SCATV also boasts gallery wall space. Exhibits rotate often so go in a talk to them.
Somerville Museum
Built by the Somerville Historical Society in the early 20th century the Museum hosts contemporary visual arts and historical exhibitions as well as musical events and talks by scholars, activists, and artists.
Somerville Public Library
The Library offers several exhibit opportunities for local artists, including, the auditorium walls and a glass display case in the main lobby.
Tufts University Art Gallery
The Tufts University Art Gallery/Aidekman Arts Center animates the intellectual life of the greater university community through exhibitions and programs exploring new global perspectives on art and on art discourse. The gallery fosters critical dialogue through exhibitions and programs that explore fresh interpretations and scholarship on art that provide a forum for art produced internationally by emerging and mid-career artists and that feature new work of established artists. The Tufts Juried Summer Exhibition is open for submissions from artists who are either residents of or who have studios in Medford and Somerville, MA, the University's host communities.
Visiting Nurse's Association
The Visiting Nurse's Association has an Assisted Living Community that has easel space for artists to display their work. The organization is also looking for artists to teach lessons and musicians and dancers to perform.
WAREHOUSE XI
WAREHOUSE XI is an event space for public exhibits as well as private functions. With 2,000 square feet, our venue is perfect for all sorts of gatherings – from yoga classes and art shows to plays, concerts and weddings! WAREHOUSE XI is located in vibrant Union Square behind Independent Restaurant, next to Back Bar & Bronwyn's.
